    Painted Door Service Available
    for Therma-Tru Doors

Harvey Industries is pleased to offer you one of the finest pre-finished coatings available. Together with our state-of-the-art spray process, we create a paint coating with superior adhesion that produces a resilient and durable finish that can't be accomplished with a paint brush.

Doors available to be painted are Classic-Craft, Fiber-Classic, and Smooth- Star. As a general policy we will not paint steel doors. Temporary slabs are available for the contractor who wants to keep the home secure and watertight, but wants to wait to hang the pre-finished door when the job is complete. Call for pricing of the temporary door.

Over time a fresh coat of paint may be necessary. Touch-up kits are sent out with every painted door to take care of any scratches. Pricing varies depending on color(s) and type of door. A painted door increases lead time by a week. If a non-stock color is chosen you must allow an additional 4 weeks. Click here to view our painted door handout. (Apr. 2006)

Tax Credits for Energy Efficiency

On August 8, 2005, President Bush signed into law the first national energy plan in more than a decade. The Plan includes a 10% nonrefundable personal tax credit for the installation of qualified energy efficient improvements to existing homes, including the installation of exterior windows. The amount of the credit is limited to $500 in total for all tax years, of which no more than $200 may be for windows. To be eligible for the tax credit, these improvements must be made between Jan. 1, 2006 and Dec. 31, 2007 and credits would be received in tax forms filed by April 15th of 2007 or 2008.

Harvey Fully Welded Windows Replacing Mechanicals

As a response to the overwhelming popularity of fully welded windows, Harvey is discontinuing production of the following vinyl double hung windows: Classic mechanical frame/mechanical sash, Classic mechanical frame/welded sash, and Slimline mechanical frame/welded sash. February 28, 2006 will be the last day we are accepting orders for these windows. Starting March 1, we will be making Classic and Slimline double hung windows fully welded only.

Benefits of Harvey fully welded windows:

· Manufactured in our factory with fully automated equipment, so you're assured a product consistent and true to exacting standards every time

· Sealed at 500 degrees for a permanent bond which provides years of trouble-free performance

· Welded sash and frame have been designed with an exterior glazing bead which offers a seamless interior finish

If you have not tried a fully welded window, contact your Harvey sales rep for a demonstration of the features and benefits of this industry leading vinyl window. (Feb. 2006)

Exterior Grids for Classic Fully Welded Double Hung Windows

Harvey has extended its exterior grid package to the Classic fully welded window. Exterior grids give the appearance of authentic true divided lite glass. This is a great option when historic guidelines need to be followed. Studies show that this high-end option is being asked for more regularly.

Harvey is one of the few window manufacturers offering this product on a maintenance free vinyl window. Grid packages are available in Colonial or Prairie style, 5/8" or 1" and in all three colors. Make this part of your standard window offering and realize the added profits this product creates. (Feb. 2006)
